Counts visits, not people

WebTrack sets no cookies, keeps no IP addresses, strips query strings and honours Do Not Track. An address is used only to look up a visit’s approximate country and city, then discarded. It measures visits to your site, never the people behind them.

No cookies, no fingerprinting

WebTrack sets no cookies and never tries to recognise a device. A visit is tied together for as long as the tab stays in use, and a new tab or device is a new, anonymous visitor.

Less collected, less to protect

An IP address is used only to look up a visit’s approximate country and city, then discarded, never stored. Query strings and page fragments are removed before anything is saved, and only the name of a referring website is kept, never its full address.

A visitor’s choice is respected

When a browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, WebTrack records nothing for that visit at all. A sale your own server reports still counts as revenue, never as a visit.

Do I need a cookie banner for WebTrack?

WebTrack itself sets no cookies. Whether your site needs a banner depends on everything else it runs and the rules that apply to you, so check with whoever advises you on privacy.

Who can see my data?

Each organisation’s data is kept apart from every other, and only the people you invite can see it. An owner can delete a website, and everything recorded for it, at any time.
